The Royal Theatre opened in 1913 as a
privately built and operated roadhouse. It has seen many of
this century's great performers on its stage, including Sarah
Bernhardt, Carlos Montoya, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Luciano Pavarotti,
The McPherson Playhouse first opened
in 1914 as the Pantages Theatre. It was re-named after Thomas
Shanks McPherson, who bequeathed the theatre and funding for
its reconstruction to the people of Victoria.
The National Geographic Theatre is located
in Victoria, BC Canada. Our 406 seat theatre features the 2-D
IMAX Experience; with a projected area more than 6 stories high
and 70 feet wide, up to 10 times larger than conventional screens.
